Bedtime Prayer in Spanish

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to tranquility I like some background noise. While I can sleep just fine in silence, there’s something about a soft acoustic song that soothes me to sleep. One of my favorites is Andy Williams’ rendition of Nearer My God To Thee. Unfortunately, the version on Youtube has only English lyrics; and I want to use it as background music for my English-speaking YouTube channel (titles are usually in Spanish so that’s why I need lyrics).

Bedtime Prayer in Spanish

Dear God,

We thank you for the gift of sleep. We also ask that you watch over us as we rest, and protect us from any harm or danger. Please let us have sweet dreams and see the light of tomorrow.

Dear God,

Thank you for this day.

Help me to remember my purpose and to be grateful for all that I have.

Give me the courage to face tomorrow with a smile, knowing that you are with me always.

Help me to open my heart and mind to see your light, love and wisdom in all things.

May the peace and tranquility of your presence help me to rest well tonight and awaken refreshed in the morning.

Goodnight, God.

I’m so glad you’re here with me.

In the morning, I’ll wake up and see your light shining through my window.

I’m going to get up and make you proud of me.

Because I love you, and because you love me.

Dear God,

Today I have been blessed with a beautiful day. I am thankful for the opportunity to live it alongside my family, friends and loved ones.

Please watch over us and keep us safe as we rest our heads tonight. Help us all to be kind to one another and treat everyone equally. Help me to be a good person today and every day until the end of my life. Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever amen.
