The new testament verse kjv is the whole counsel of God, and a different book than [the Old Testament]. Some who follow the Greek or Hebrew see it as a complement. Other Christians see them as complementary contrasts in which they are congruent when taken together, inspirited, and properly compared and contrasted.
The New Testament verse 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
The King James Version of this passage reads, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” This is one of many verses that are quoted by those who believe that all food is clean.
All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.
1 Timothy 4:4-5
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
1 Timothy 4:1-5
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1 Timothy 4:1-5
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
